Maintenance, Testing, Inspection & Fault Finding
All installations carry a recommended period between inspections and testing. The testing will reveal faults as well as any 'wear and tear' to apparatus, fixtures and fittings before they have reached a dangerous state. This allows preventative maintenance to correct these faults before danger has arisen. The most common fault for failure of testing and inspection is inadequate earthing, which could also be the most dangerous.

Electric Heating

Quartz Halogen instant heaters are ideal where heat is required for the public instantly without the expense of continual heating and loss of heat to high areas, for use in churches and sports halls etc. Also used in milking parlours combined with frost thermostats to prevent freezing in winter.

Ceramic heaters are similar to the above but don't heat up as rapidly. They have the advantage of not producing any light; therefore, they are ideal for theatres and cinemas where unwanted light from heaters would affect the visual effects of the performance.

Hot air heaters and air curtains having advantages in specialised circumstances. Large blower storage heaters are for heating in one unit, which would suit a wholesalers or small factory unit.
